For Bayu, owning a modern coffee shop is a dream. He is also very happy because now that dream has come true with the establishment of the modern coffee shop Bencoolen Coffee in his front yard.
Bayu is the second batch of pre-employment cards. He said that he had wanted to start a coffee shop business for a long time. As a result, he routinely searches for information via digital platforms about coffee shops that provide modern coffee shop training.
After going through the search process, Bayu's choice fell on the Bencoolen Coffee. According to him, training at the Bencoolen Coffee is the most convincing.
"My choice fell on Bencoolen Coffee as well because here there is a discussion forum with other training participants led directly by the Head of Barista Bencoolen Coffee," said Bayu.
Bayu said that by attending this training, his insight into building a coffee shop had increased. Previously, he didn't even have an idea of how to build a coffee shop.
"Alhamdulillah, now I can practice the knowledge that I got after attending the training," said Bayu.
Bayu's Bencoolen Coffee shop stands in the front yard of his house. He admitted that the capital he had taken to open this business was quite minimal, namely from savings and incentives from the Pre-employment Card program.
"Friends who want to relax, please visit my coffee shop on Jalan Cawang Baru Utara, Jatinegara," said Bayu.
Zain Ismet, Deputy Chair of HKTI South Sumatra, in an online discussion event at Sumatra Coffee Day, Wednesday, 26 Agusuts 2020, said the coffee business is an opportunity that can revive the Indonesian economy during the corona virus pandemic. Because this business can move the business wheels of coffee farmers, baristas and coffee entrepreneur owners.
